This is Kiska. Kiska was surrendered to the shelter because she was a bit to big and anxious for her previous owners. She is easily over stimulated by outside stimuli and becomes reactive (barks and growls). Her previous owner said she has never been aggressive towards people or other animals but becomes very anxious when put into new situations. We do not know how Kiska does with children as she has never been around them, but due to her nervousness we are requiring that she go to a home without kiddos under 5 years. She is said to be housebroken, kennel trained, and rides well in cars. Kiska is also said to know some basic commands such as “lay, crate, go potty, and leave it”. However, her previous owner also stated that Kiska doesn’t always mind well. Kiska would highly benefit from going to a basic obedience class. Kiska is a strong girl and does pull hard when being walked. Possibly harness training her would be a good tool for her new owners. Kiska was said to previously jump fences so should not be left outside unsupervised. Kiska is looking for a patient owner who is willing to work with her and help her gain some much needed confidence. Kiska will also need an active home to keep her out of trouble and well exercised! If this girl sounds like the one for you please let us know!
