About Kassy & Choco – Looking for a BC home together

Kassy & Choco are looking for a BC home together. Kassy is a 3-year-old, 32-pound mixed breed. Kassy was rescued by a kind lady. She was found dehydrated and full of ticks, abandoned among garbage. She has been cared for with the right treatment and is doing great now! Kassy gets along with everyone; she is very calm and welcomes everyone into her space, and she loves to play with teenagers and children. She has been doing great with her on-leash and off-leash training. When she first arrived, she would get very nervous when meeting dogs on walks; she would bark and try to get loose from her leash. We have worked with her on this and now it is not an issue to meet another dog on walks. She has not been cat-tested. At the beginning, we thought she might be reactive towards other dogs, as she barked at other dogs while on leash. However, since introducing her to our pack, she has improved tremendously. She no longer barks at other dogs and loves nothing more than to play with everyone. It was heartwarming to see Kassy’s true personality shine, once she felt safe and loved. An active family with teenagers or kids, and another dog to play with, would be ideal for Kassy. She loves to play and run so a big yard would be great for her. She is a very intelligent lady, so she will pick up on training very fast. Kassy is looking for her forever home where she can truly belong. She will need a good leader to show her that she will never have to feel unsafe or unloved ever again. If you are looking for an adventure partner who will always be loyal to you, Kassy may be the perfect companion for your family. Kassy’s absolute ideal home would be with her partner Choco. Choco is a 3-year- old, 51-pound labrador mix. Choco was abandoned on the street. He was rescued by a kind lady, who found him with barbed wire tangled all over his body. He was dirty and had ticks but now, with the right treatment and care, he is doing amazing! Choco is a happy-go-lucky dog around everyone, including adults, children and other dogs. He is not a huge fan of cats so a cat-free household would be best. He will take his time to get to know other dogs; when he feels safe with them, he will turn into the playful, goofball that he truly is. He has been exposed to both on-leash and off-leash environments. He happily welcomes strangers to the house, and loves to play with the teens and children. He can be nervous when there are many dogs around while he eats, he may give a little growl sometimes to convey his nerves. But he is improving on this in living with such a huge pack. In the beginning, he was known to get anxious without his kennel partner, Kassy. He will need someone to continue building his confidence in circumstances like these. An ideal home for Choco would be a very active family, with teenagers or children to play with. He would be happy either as the only dog, or with another however his ideal home would be one with his companion Kassy who is also up for adoption. He loves cuddle time and also loves to play. He is an extremely intelligent boy, who will learn your commands with ease. All Choco needs now, is a good leader in his new family to improve his social skills, and a place to call home. Choco’s ideal home would be with his partner Kassy. While we are sure Kassy and Choco would likely both do fine without each other as long as there is another dog in the home, we don’t see it necessary to separate them if we don’t have to as they have spent their lives together. Kassy and Choco have the opportunity to be on a flight into Vancouver sometime in August. They are both fixed, and have all vaccines as well as have undergone full vetting. Kassy and Chocos joint adoption fee is slightly reduced to $900 for both so that we can hopefully find them their home together. If interested in Kassy and Choco please email [email protected]
