Hey folks, I’m Freddy and I am ready for you to take me home. I am a funny, outgoing young labrador mix who recently arrived from China. Right now I am in a foster home where I have quickly become friends with the resident dogs and won over my foster mom. You’ll notice I am missing most of my back … left leg, but that doesn’t stop me having a great time playing with dog friends and going for walks. I can even do stairs when I need to. Not much is known about my past, but I can tell you that I am a very lucky dog. It was my good fortune to be taken into a shelter in Wuhan and then I was even more fortunate to be one of 26 dogs picked to be flown to Vancouver. I really can’t believe that I am now living in this wonderful foster home. If I end up being adopted by you, it will feel like I was born under a lucky star! Maybe that’s why I always seem to have a smile on my face. I tend to gaze at people with eyes filled with love. Wouldn’t you like to have someone look at you that way every day? Like all labs, I love food, so you’ll need to watch where you leave your lunch, or you may turn around to find it vanished and me sitting nearby with an innocent look upon my face – along with a little bit of ketchup on my chin! Right now, I still have that puppy-like urge to chew things, but some chewy treats and dog toys will do the trick to keep me busy. My foster mom says I’m super smart and will pick up things quickly – she’s working on my house training at the moment. I’m a goofy, loveable dog who will bring you a lot of happiness. I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee of $800 + tax will go towards the cost of the cargo flight. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of the descriptions. Remember, every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person leading him and the environment. The age and breed of a dog is almost always an educated guess and at no time do we promise or guarantee the age or breed of a dog.
