Home Dog Adoption Doc Holliday

About Doc Holliday

We are a foster based rescue, and there is no facility to visit. Doc Holliday and littermates were being given away for free on a CA Craig’s List ad. We don’t know what breed mix they are, except for the strong German Shepherd lines. Doc can be a little shy at first, warms up quickly. Like many shepherds, he can be a talker. He is sleeping in his crate at night, bit of course needs work with continued daytime housebreaking. Doc’s ideal home must have another friendly dog (or two) and fenced yard. We would love a home with previous GSD experience. He loves his foster siblings, and another dog would help him grow up confident. He’s probably not going to be huge, he’s currently about 25# at 14 weeks. So maybe in the 60-70# range. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue. Many of our litters are from out of state. They are quarantined for two weeks to confirm they are healthy and then placed in foster for socialization and lots of loving!! All Save-A-Mutt puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have started their vaccines. Each puppy goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. He has all his vaccines, and he may need one more DHPP booster, depending on when he goes home. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop… a lot! Save-A-Mutt requires a training contract and deposit on all our large and/or dominant breed puppies. It’s easy. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit. Adoptions take place in Stanwood. Doc is ready for his new home. Adoption fee is $475 + $100 refundable training deposit. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3. Please note, we have approximately a 300-mile adoption radius – Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, so once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Due to the Border Closure to Canada, we are currently not accepting Canadian Adoption Applications. Sorry.
