About Dixie Chicken (LJM)

Dixie Chicken (LJM) is fosterd in Houston, Texas and will be traveing to the Pacific Northwest on June 7th to a foster home. She has started basic obedience courses, knows “sit” and walks nicely on a leash ! She plays confidently with other dogs and would do best in a home with other big dogs. Dixie Chicken is fostered in a home with a child and adores her kiddo. She has high energy and prey drive (some shepherd in her). The adoption fee is $550.00. Her 4 months old Birthday was December 2020. Dixie Chicken is up to date on vaccines according to age, has received proper deworming, and comes with additional dewormer if needed. This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered, comes with 6-month Heartworm preventative, and one-month free trial of pet insurance if registered by adopter with insurance company. All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health.) Our transports are USDA certified and the cost of transport is included in adoption fee! The adoption fee is $550.00. Canadian Resident / Potential adopters : Due to Covid, Rescue volunteers can not cross border. Adopters must meet our volunteers in US to pick up pet. Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are experiencing a dramatic influx in inquiries and adoption applications. If you have questions regarding a pup you are interested in please fill out an adoption application. Once received it can take up to a week to complete our review. Be assured we have received your application! If you need more information regarding a pup you are interested in, the process of filling out an adoption application and it is still required prior to answering detailed questions. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
