About Cody

“Hey there! My name is Cody! I am the most handsome, goofy 1-year-old lab/boxer mix that you will meet. I will keep you laughing. I am a happy boy who is thankful for all the love and pets that you went to give. I am searching for my furever home! Once upon a time, I has a family and a home. Unfortunately, their child was holding me and dropped me when I was only 8 weeks old. This caused an injury to my back. The family took me to the shelter asking that I be euthanized. The shelter said no and they found Wag Again to help me. They injury required surgery. Wag Again took me to an incredible vet surgeon. He fixed my back end I’ve been on the go over since! I have been going to doggy physical therapy and after 11 months of rehab and hard work, I’m ready for my forever home! Although I am now able to get up and walk and run around on my own, I do still scoot around if the floor is slippery! Now if carpeted, I am up on 4 legs! I am a happy and goofy pup, and I promise to make you laugh! They say I am the class clown of the family! I’m an energetic pup who absolutely loves to play with other doggys!! I would love to have a fur sibling in my new home as I love to play with doggys! I also get along with kids, although I haven’t been around any younger than 6. My foster momma has grandkids that I love to play with. I haven’t met a cat so I’m not sure how I’d react to them. I loves my toys and have quite the collection here at my foster home. I hope my forever home has lots too! I’m your typical happy-go-lucky lab/boxer mix. My foster mama says I’m just the sweetest and I promise to reward you with endless love! I’m crate trained, house broken, and will gladly share my food and toys with you! I weigh 60 lbs and am fully grown. I am currently being fostered in Houston, Texas as I search for my furever home. Once I find the perfect home, Wag Again will schedule me for transport north.” Transport fees are $220 (this is separate from the adoption fee) as this fee is set by the transport company. All transports are done by ground, because those airplanes can be very scary. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
