About Chico

Hi, my name is Chico! Here is what would work best for me in my new home: -Personality: Goofball, loving, playful, a little anxious. -Can Live with Kids: Yes, sturdy, dog-experienced kids aged 12+, pending an introduction at the shelter. -Can Live with Cats: No – history of chasing cats and small animals. -Can Live with Dogs: Chico was surrendered for not getting along with the small dog in the home. Another tolerant dog of similar size might be workable but would want to seek assistance from a trainer on integration. Chico’s ideal living situation is one where he is the only dog. -Can do Apartment Living: Ideally no – small spaces (hallways, elevators) with lots of strangers may not be the best fit for him. -Potty Trained: Appears to be! -Bite History: No. -Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, at least one private lesson. -Energy Level: Medium. Chico is able to accompany you on your adventures (jogs, hikes, walks around the block), but also totally happy chillin’ with you on the couch. -Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No. -Additional Information: Chico is a bit of an anxious boy who’s on the lookout for his forever snuggle buddy. Chico has been very fearful at the shelter, especially being surrounded by other dogs, but he’s warming up every day and showing us a little more of who he really is. Chico is a goofy, playful boy who loves to romp around with his toys. He would love to be the little spoon and thinks himself a lapdog. Chico would love a home with a steady, predictable routine with home-body adopters who enjoy relaxing around the house or playing fetch in the backyard.
