CHEWY

About CHEWY

Chewy is a 3-yr, 109#, Redbone/Bloodhound bundle of love. This lovely gentleman is seeking a furever home with lots of love, patience, and toys. He especially loves the toys that squeak. An active, curious, boy who takes awhile to come of his shell is worth every second you spend with him. He is well on his way to becoming everyone’s favorite at the shelter. Chewy has lived successfully with children and one other dog. Dogs in his potential home should be large, active, patient, and enjoy hard play. Chewy loves his people once he is comfortable but does show a strong preference for women. He loves to play ball with his friends. While it is “unknown” how he would do with cats he has been known to chase them. He is a great boy who enjoys walks and snuggles. It is said he likes big toys and big treats! Chewy says “Hello, there. Are you an active family with a big home, big secure yard, but most of all a big heart? Or perhaps a few hearts? I really like kids they can throw my squeaky toys and we can play lots of fetch. If they don’t mind my drool too much I love to give snuggles. I’ll even listen when you say ‘sit’, especially if you have a treat. Hope to see you soon.” If you have further questions, emails are the only method of communication at this time. We all care about the health of our 2-legged caregivers and the community at large, so as a precaution we are temporarily suspending our public open hours. We are still taking email inquiries and applications, and will be in touch with you as soon as we are able. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time! Stay Wwell! All AAP dogs come up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
