About Chassis Bonded To Axel

We can’t wait to introduce you to the 2 most amazing dogs, Chassis and Axel. Staff and volunteers are already head over heels in love with this pair, and we can’t wait to see what lucky person scoops them up. Get ready for the best friend duo of a lifetime! These 2 adore each other, shelter staff often find them grooming each other, spooning in their bed, or playing together with their favourite toys. Equal parts active and couch potato, these perfect pitbulls favourite activity is to snuggle with their human companions. They do experience separation anxiety when left alone, so a forever home with the ability to work from home (at least initially) will be important. These two enjoy playing with and ripping up stuffed-animals for fun, but please no plastic toys as we have discovered they will eat and swallow them! Chassis can be more nervous and hesitant in new situations than her brother, and will need a family dedicated to building her confidence in new settings. Chassis definitely thinks she is a tiny lap-dog despite her size, and loves to climb into your lap for a snuggle. Both Chassis and Axel can be selectively reactive to other dogs, and don’t want to share their forever home with any visiting canines. But don’t worry, between these 2 you won’t ever be without dog kisses and cuddles! This BFF pair also does appear to show some prey drive, often jumping at crows and small animals on walks. They would prefer a home without any cats or small critters. This dynamic duo constantly has staff laughing and snuggling, please apply to find out more about why they are so fantastic! Chassis will need a dental and is yet to be spayed so the adopter must be comfortable taking her to and from her vet appointments on the north shore until she is her health is cleared for adoption. Due to COVID-19 We’ve made changes to our adoption process. To adopt: 1. Read through the animal’s profile to see if your home would be a good fit. 2. Submit an application. 3. If it’s a match, staff will contact you to review your application and set-up an appointment to come in for a visit. Please note that visitations are made for approved applicants only. 4. Live happily furever after. We often receive many applications for an available animal. We do our best to respond, although are not always able to respond to all applicants. We will reach out to the approved adopter.
