About Catalina

“Hi, my name is Catalina and I am approximately six years old and weigh 47 pounds. My people think I may be a Boxer Labrador retriever mix. I was rescued by a nice young man when I was pregnant and hungry. He provided me with food and a safe place to give birth. All my babies have travelled to the Pacific Northwest and I would love to join them. I am a shy girl and use to feel like no one cared about me. I have become surer of myself, but still will need the reassurance from my humans that they are going to love and always take care of me. I do not ever want to be homeless again. It was a hard life. I would rather you have a fenced yard so I can become familiar with you before we go face the world together. I am working on my leash training and still a little unsure of that. I ride well in the car, but it has taken awhile for me realize after a car ride I get to come back home. I would love to go hiking and walking on the beach with you if you just give me that bonding time first. It may take me a few weeks, but I am worth it. I really deserve this. Would you be my hero? I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.” Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
