Our dear little Shih Tzu, Bunny is a 4-year-old tiny little girl who has recently come into our care. She arrived into rescue with untreated eye infections so severe that only one eye could be saved. Bunny is completely blind in her remaining eye. She hears quite well. Bunny weighs 7 pounds. She is … quiet, sweet, gentle and loves to lay in the sun and saunter around the yard with her foster mom enjoying the fresh air. Bunny enjoys being held and snuggled. She loves her gentle leashed walks in quiet areas and trots along with confidence. She is not a fearful blind dog. She eats well and goes potty when brought outside, and will also go on a pee pad inside. She is a very dignified girl who deserves the very best life has to offer her. We are looking for an adopter very experienced with blind dogs. Bunny depends on her caregivers to keep her safe and supervised at all times. She manages to find her way really well once she memorizes the layout of the home, as long as things in the home are not moved around. She enjoys her large, safe enclosure for sleeping and eating. Applicants must live on Vancouver Island, be home full time, have no stairs, and no young children. Another small, senior gentle dog in the home will be fine. Vancouver Island residents only will be considered. If you wish to enter into a discussion further, please email us at [email protected] and tell us about yourself.
Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Blind.
