Ben

About Ben

Ben is a sweet, older, loving and calm Shepherd. Although Ben is almost completely blind he gets around great. He just needs a quiet, stable, loving home where he can spend his retirement days. Ben, sadly, has been in and out of shelters and recently lost a human companion. His most recent adopter fell ill, and he came back to us again. It is vital that he settle in to his forever home. Constant change of environment leads to stress and depression in sight challenged dogs, so we want this to be his last and final home. Ben needs a home with no stairs, no cats and no children. He likes other large dogs, but being sight impaired, he can be quick to react because he is not sure what is coming at him. A quiet, calm only dog home is best. As with all senior dogs, Ben is slow with some arthritis, so short walks and weight maintenance will be essential. He is on thyroid medication daily, but it is a very inexpensive prescription. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high. If you have any questions please email and visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application. Adoption donation fee is $250.00. (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue.)
