Bella is in a foster home, and is currently not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt her, thanks. My name is Bella, and I think humans are AWESOME! I want to be around your kind all the time, ideally with my head in your lap and your hand rubbing my chest. When you greet me, I get … so happy that I wag from my tail all the way to the tip of my nose. I missed out on a lot growing up … so at 2-3 years old, I’m just now learning about fun things like squeaky toys and stuffed Kongs. It also means that the outdoors can be a bit overwhelming for me, especially new places or where there’s a lot of cars or other noises. Other dogs make me uncomfortable and I would appreciate a family that is committed to continue the training my foster parents have been working with me on to help me remain calm in the presence of other dogs. I know how to behave myself in the house. I always go potty outside; I never steal food or chew your stuff, and I rarely bark. I’m a very good girl! You don’t need to take me on vacations or out for fancy dog bones. Honestly, I’d be happiest just chilling out with you on the couch or playing in the yard. My ideal family should be adults only with plenty of prior dog experience, with the time and patience to help me blossom. I need to live in a single-family house with a securely fenced yard, ideally in a neighborhood without a lot of dog traffic since I really prefer humans to other dogs. Cats and critters are too tempting to chase – so I need to be your only pet. And come on, I’ll be the most loyal, loving friend you’ve ever had, so I’m really all you need! HOW TO ADOPT – Please fill out a Dog Adoption Application and email it to the Seattle Animal Shelter Foster Dog Program. IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of our dogs will receive numerous applications, and the Seattle Animal Shelter asks for your patience during the process of finding the very best match. If you would like to arrange to meet this dog, you must submit an adoption application. Thank you!
